Badge - bronze
This Jägertroops badge was meant to be a part of my Hallowe'en costume, but it was the only prop I managed to get done. That ol' bastard, life, got in the way again. At a little under 50mm long, it's not that large. I built it out of two layers - the back and the horned skull, which I designed after the several variations seen in Girl Genius. My plan was to be a so-called wild Jäger, along the lines of Dimo, Oggie, Maxim and Jenka. That's why after the final polishing I scratched, dented and otherwise mauled the pin to look like it'd been through a random battle or twenty, managing to deflect even a couple of musket bullets in the process. Then there was patina. Well, maybe next Hallowe'en, or other such masquerade. I'll just keep building my costume slowly but determinedly. |
