Cuff links - silver / brass & steel gears

Commission piece - the customer requested cuff links along the lines of ones I'd done previously, but with a more organic opening and with more gears showing.

Soldering silver, steel and brass together is a tricky but very interesting business, as you can never quite foresee how they're going to react to each other. Here one of the brass gears went and sunk into the silver base ever so slightly - brass sometimes does that, triggering any silver in contact with it to melt. Looks kind of eerie really.

I'm very happy with these, and fully intend to make more.
